2024 SHINCHA the First Flush of the Season
SHINCHA means ‘new tea’. It is the tea made from the first harvest—the first flush—of the season. It is the same as Ichibancha, "first tea," and is distinguished by its fresh flavor and sweetness. SHINCHA Sencha often comes in special editions available in limited quantities.
SHINCHA Gyokuro shaded tea will be released later in the summer as Gyokuro requires time to mature its taste.
The harvest begins in Kagoshima and continues north as the warmer weather spreads.
